Overall an excellent app. A suggestion for improvement: on vocabulary quizzes, offer option to study one particular part of speech. As it is, I can often guess the vocabulary correctly based solely on part of speech, and occasionally also my limited knowledge of Kanji and readings. This is fine for first exposures, but I also need to learn the word on its own, and manually switching up the vocabulary selection is quite time-consuming.

Really great app with one really annoying issue - when I'm on a vocabulary list and turn off my screen, it returns to the top of the list when I wake my phone back up. This is far more infuriating than it might sound. Every other app on the planet seems to be able to remember scroll positions so why can't this one?

This app is absolutely great for studying kanji. Not only does it let you test by writing (its forgiving enough that wonky finger phone writing is recognized) but it'll even let you know if your stroke order or direction is wrong! The ads, at least in my experience, are unobtrusive banner ads, no loud, in-your-face pop-ups that I've had to tap or swipe away in the middle of studying, which is a welcome change of pace from many other free JP learning apps I've tried!
