"0 STARS ACTUALLY, USELESS APP". App read 112 dB when actual meter read 92.3 db after borrowing one from a friend for comparison because of my suspicion that it was wrong. My ears did a better job than this app. If you do not know what you're looking at or doing regarding calibration, you might as well guess at the levels. With available technology today, you are better off buying a cheap & real sound meter than getting a pink noise generator & jumping through hoops to calibrate this app.

It does what it says on the tin. And does it good. Thanks to it I checked noise level on some underground lines of London Tube. It was excess of 130dB. They should do something about it! I mean not developers of this app of course. Very usefull.

Wanted to show my dad how loud he screams and that he needs a hearing aid. But it maxed out at rediculous 93 db. Thats the noise my vacuum cleaner makes. He talks three times louder. I need something that goes up to 200db or 300db. Others complained also that its inaccurate at 110db. Thats because it only goes up to 93.
