I was looking for a way to sync some CalDAV/WebDAV calendars that GCal just couldn't get right. CalendarSync solved the problem. I agree with other reviewers that the UI is initially confusing; my first attempt to use the app failed. On request, the app will create an email and attach your config so you can get help from the developer. I took advantage of this and I now have a working configuration. And for a few dollars I can support a developer who has created an app that works and is not only responsive, but continues to follow through on questions.

Did what I needed and exported my Samsung Calendar to .iCal. Idk if it was Google or this app but once I imported over 350 calendar events to Google, many events had an extra day added to them, some Reminders that were spread across a given month were grouped all to the same day instead, and emojis in event titles do not transfer. I'm just happy I finally found an app that exports SCalendar and doesn't siphon data in the background. Permission requests should be on-demand instead of all at boot.

So far, So good. I gave this a try after DAVX unexplicably stopped syncing my NextCloud calendars. Yes, the interface is as ugly as sin. But, so what. At least it shows you what's going on [unlike DAVX, which just spins a sync cursor but doesn't sync]. CalendarSync worked where DAVX doesn't any more. Holding off on a couple of stars coz I don't want to give it file access [I don't get or use calendar attachments] and it won't stop bugging me about this "required permission".

This permission is used for other aspects too, like automatic backups before various operations, providing support or also when you want to migrate from the test version to the full version to export and import settings. Hence, we recommend to grant this permission also if you don't use calendar attachments.

What's new

Improved text. Fixed permissions handling for local file access in automatic synchronisation. Adaptations for Android 13.
See changelogs for details.
