About this app

Pitch Perfect is a utility app for the musically inclined. At its core, it’s a digital pitch pipe, allowing musicians to take an initial pitch before beginning or rehearsing a song. If you’re the type of person who struggles to match a key signature to the name of a key, the app provides visual aids to make it as easy as matching what you see on your sheet music with the image on your screen. For singers who keep a list of songs and their keys, Pitch Perfect makes it easy!

Just hold down the button to play the note!

Note: Pitch Perfect makes no effort to synthesize a natural sound -- instead, it generates a plain old sine wave at the appropriate frequency. The goal of the app is to provide quick, easy access to a note when you need it.

Tips and tricks:
-To reorder your songs, long-press the edit button next to the song and choose "Move up" or "Move down"
-To sort your song list alphabetically, hit the menu button while looking at the list
-Hit the menu key on your phone (or look at the action bar) for additional options
-Use it with your Android Wear smart watch to remotely control the pitch pipe -- even when the app isn't open
-Add a pitch pipe widget to your home or lock screen for easy access

Been using this app for years. Overall I find it extremely useful and better than any competitors but I keep wanting a way to turn the screen off and let the note continue. I use the app nearly every morning for vocal warm-ups, often carrying it around in my pocket to free my hands. The screen staying on not only causes battery drain but it gets touched and other notes join the chorus. It would be well worth the money to purchase an upgrade like that if ever available.

Update: Pitch Perfect works perfectly. Developer contacted me to correct a volume setting (duh). Now is great again. Original post: This app *was* working perfectly. Didn't use for a couple of months and when I came back to it this week, it produces no sound whatsoever. Am using a Samsung 9+. Uninstalled and reinstalled - didn't fix it. Just glad I tried it at rehearsal and not at the performance!

This is no longer usable. It is giving two tones at once. First the desired pitch, then on top of that a second higher tone that is neither an octave offset nor a chorded progression. Other pitch apps are not doing this, so it is not a hardware issue on my Galaxy s10. I attempted to email the deveopers, using the contact link in this app description and it bounced as a non-existent address. Uninstalling.
