Its 3:27 AM i will go to sleep soon. But first this book is amazing. the concept of using color to perform a certain types of "magic" is so new and refreshing to me. id recommend yall reading the book. what harm could it do

Quite the page turner. Brent Weeks had me guessing and re-reading pages throughout this novel's entirety. If you haven't yet read any of this author's work, this is a good place to start. I for one will definitely be picking up the next book in this series.

Brent Weeks is about as good at crafting a world of magic as most movie or video game producers, the amount of immersion you get for the price of the book alone makes it a worthwhile buy. Add a glossary to the end of the book and you have what feels like a living, breathing world. If I could say everything I love about this book and the author, I would be writing all day. If youre a fan of fantasy, this book is for you.
