About this ebook

HBO’s hit series A GAME OF THRONES is based on George R R Martin’s internationally bestselling series A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE, the greatest fantasy epic of the modern age.

George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series has set the benchmark for contemporary epic fantasy. Labelled by Time magazine as one of the top 100 most influential people in the world, Martin has conjured a world as complex and vibrant as that of J.R.R. Tolkien’s, populated by a huge cast of fascinating, complex characters, and boasting a history that stretches back twelve thousand years.

Three great storylines weave through the books, charting the civil war for control of the Seven Kingdoms; the defence of the towering Wall of ice in the uttermost north against the unearthly threat of the Others; and across the Narrow Sea the rise to power of Daenerys Targaryen and the last live dragons in the world.

** This is SEVEN books for the price of one ** Please write a helpful review of the CONTENT of the series. This page is not for whingeing about the price of a large bundle, FFS! My review is below. I have reached one third of the way through the third volume in less than four weeks. It is an amazing read. The many point of views shifts the story and the scenery. I watched the television series prior to purchasing the pack, and I have to confess, some parts are better on TV, but there's more emotional connection when it is in print, reader get into the heads of the characters. I have now surpassed the television series where they left off their cliffhanger. I am now worried that book six will not come out once I reached the end of book five!

It isn't. Clear local data from your google books app and then try again. Why did it break in the first place? Because they changed the book. Before the book "broke" it was ~5996 pages long on my device, it is now 5027. Where did all the pages go? I haven't figured that out yet. Before I was ~1150 pages in, now the same spot is at page 962. This suggests that someone tweaked the formatting somewhere to make more text fit on a page. Nevertheless, I would very much like an update on the description confirming this is the reason there are now 17% less pages. Overall (actual review): As far as I can tell there is no missing content. This is, however, a scanned copy of the book, made apparent by random punctuation and slightly mispelled words (occured 10-15 times during the first 1000 pages). This is still good value for money and if you want to read the entire series I recommend it.
