About this ebook

**USA Today Bestseller**

Allison O'Malley's plan is to go to grad school so she can get a good job and take care of her schizophrenic mother. She has carefully closed herself off from everything else, including a relationship with Ethan, who she's been in love with for as long as she can remember.

What is definitely not part of the plan is the return of her long-lost father, who claims he can bring Allison's mother back from the dark place her mind has gone. Allison doesn't trust her father, so why would she believe his fairy tale about a long forgotten Irish people, the Tuatha de Danaan? But truths have a way of revealing themselves. Secrets will eventually surface. And Allison must learn to set aside her plan and work with her father if there is even a small chance it could restore her mother's sanity.

Absolutely shite. 2 stars for effort. I never really believed in the whole only write about what you know thing until now. Very obvious that the author is American and not Irish. She obviously did some research but doesn't have experience of Ireland. I'm no expert on the Tuatha dé Dannan but a lot of this seemed off from what I know. If you want to read about this race and Tír na nÒg I recommend that you check out actual mythology not the mashed together story from a twilight inspired American.

I feel like it was finally getting on its feet, then it was over. could have done with a little more action, time spent in the other realm was a bit too fast and too easy. in the end it doesn't work well as a stand alone story, and the way it left the ending makes you wonder if continuing the story will reward you for your efforts in the end.

Being Irish, Scottish, and Welsh I was entranced by the fantasy and mythology. The character names were beautiful and very fitting. The story as a whole had me unable to put it down, and as such I finished this book in just 4 hours. Thank you so much for bringing your imagination to life for others to partake in. I loved it.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling author Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn't until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known.
