The graphics used, as well as their step-by step, example-based approach make this a great intro to Git. That's why it's endorsed on Git's website! (where it is also available free, just so you know, although the author definitely deserves some recognition for his efforts!)

This is an awesome book but you don't need to buy it. It's PDF is available for free at the official git website.

Great examples, most of them easy to understand...

Reading information

Smartphones and tablets
