This book shifts attention from main protagonist, which is seldom referenced mainly as a plot device, and other characters get much spotlight. I am still planning to stick with this series.

Enjoyable read and a great part of the series. Though a few parts slowed a bit. I was forewarned that Jordan can get lost in the minutiae of world building. There were times it got a tad excessive. A great third book and has me chomping for more.

An awesome book. The plot is once again very well written and the characters are extremely likable. (Perrin being my favorite) The lack of point of view from Rand is a very interesting but unique way of writing the book as he is the main character in the series. The ending is one of my favorites as the characters own journeys are intertwined by the end. The sudden end left me desiring to read The Shadow Rising immediately. I highly recommend this book.
