This book and its predecessor are both fantastic reads. The world and its magic are unique and compelling. The characters are complex and often dark, with many secrets and desires. There are however man parallels between this series and Weeks' Night Angel trilogy but there's nothing really wrong with that. His writing has only gotten better though making this book and the rest of the series one to watch for.

I've read all the digital copies google play has on file, and have enjoyed all of them! Can hardly wait for this one to come to the shelf! Brent weeks is an amazing author. His characters are always well developed and easy to form bonds with. Love the way the stories within his books fit together. Well done sir and am looking forward the the end of this trilogu as much as the last one.
