This book was horrible!! It took me forever to get through the book!! I think Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a good author, but he almost puts too much description in the book that I end up not understanding what I'm reading. The old english is also WAY too old for me, I had no idea what I was reading.

I waited a long time to read this book! Wish I'd read it years ago! The author's use of the European English wasn't bad at all! I was able to understand 99.9% of it. Just a few words threw me but didn't take away from the story. I am now a huge fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle! The mystery of the Hound is very complex. Once explained, I know I coukd never have figured it out! Unlike some Whodunits this story is never repetitive or boring! Exciting to the end!

I think that this is one of the best of Sir Arthur Cohen Doyle's works. I gave it only 4 stars because of all the spelling errors, characters interjected into words, and missing words.
