Art is decent but there's little fan service I.E. eye candy of female character sex appeal in this volume of JLA, so found myself getting bored with the art feeling I have nothing good to look at. Grant Morrison fills scenes with a little too much as he tries to convey an entire pages content in single a panel with multiple characters giving long monologues and background ones making a joke comment each panel making things feel a little too long and drawn out. Pages not mobile friendly as boarders around panels are massive making reading on a phone a tiring experience. Recommend reading this after you become a fan for it makes for a bad entry point for Justice League reading.

Remember being skeptical at first so long ago. But the story & art drew me in. It is a worthy story (collection)to own. The added background to the history of Martian Manhunter was an enjoyable plus giving more depth to the character.
