I'm generally a big fan of Michael Crichton's writings, but this one diverged from his normal style. This novel is fairly politically motivated and every few moments the main characters seem to take a break and expound upon selected evidence to cast doubt upon mankind's impact on climate change, with citations given in footnotes.

Its a fictional story that is written very well, all people trashing it are dumb. Like hey; Let's trash a fictional story just bc it brings up subjects that are questionable. Get a life or read more instead of worrying about what you think he is tryng to say about global warming. Hell I think GW is a crock. Sure we aren't doing our planet any good but what are you doing to help. Driving a hybrid isn't helping btw... Great book, amazing story as long as you don't get caght up in the bs and just enjoy the STORY!!

The story is predictable and quite boring. The protagonist acts like a stupid. I am a big fan of Crichton. But this books is terrible. I read the book half way and gave up.
