About this ebook

Presenting the Travel Diaries of Karl Pilkington: Adventurer. Philosopher. Knob head. Karl Pilkington isn’t keen on travelling. Given the choice, he’ll go on holiday to Devon or Wales or, at a push, eat English food on a package holiday in Majorca. Which isn’t exactly Michael Palin, is it? So what happened when he was convinced by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant to go on an epic adventure to see the Seven Wonders of the World? Travel broadens the mind, right? You’d think so...

Very funny! Anyone who liked 'An Idiot Abroad' will surely like this! Some people say he is too miserable but thats the whole point! Ricky Gervais put him into situations that he will not like, most of us would be the same if our holidays were like what he goes through. Although it sometimes seems too thought out and scripted rather than natural it still makes for a fun read that will definitely make you laugh out loud more than once.

I found this to be a hilarious book to accompany the series bit my major gripe is that it seems to have been spell checked bit not proof read as there are bits that dont make sense! For example in one bit Karl describes his ordeal as being "succesful" when what he says in the series is "stressfull". There were quite a few instances of this which suprised me. Other than that though I was laughing out loud in parts and it spurred me on to re-watch the series.

Karls outlook of the world is so child like, he's naive, an innocent. An idiot, he is not. In his own mind his understanding of the world makes sense. The book is a charming and funny look into karl's unusual views on travel. Karl doesn't care that you're laughing AT him as long as its buying him his digestives lol
