About this ebook

The third book in the Lightbringer series, the blockbuster fantasy epic from international bestseller Brent Weeks

As the old gods awaken and satrapies splinter, the Chromeria races to find the only man who might still end a civil war before it engulfs the known world. But Gavin Guile has been captured by an old enemy and enslaved on a pirate galley. Worse still, Gavin has lost more than his powers as Prism - he can't use magic at all.

Without the protection of his father, Kip Guile will face a master of shadows as his grandfather moves to choose a new Prism and put himself in power. With Teia and Karris, Kip will have to use all his wits to survive a secret war between noble houses, religious factions, rebels and an ascendant order of hidden assassins called The Broken Eye.

Weeks delivers a spellbindingly superb 3rd title to Lightbringer series, with a suspense filled, teeth bared, no prisoners taken book. Character development is excellent and the plot has become so thick it almost makes my mind hurt. Filled with familiar characters and deeper insights and explorations into the possibilities within drafting, this really is a brilliantly written page turner that will be re-read plenty of times. Thanks, Mr.Weeks. I gave you a few pages, and as promised, you gave me Helluvaride

Being a frequent fantasy reader, I was tending to get a little bored reading the same 'book recipies' over and over again. This one (series) however was really different. Thrilling story, addictive reading, Brent Weeks has definitely found a perfect, refreshing recipy ;-)

But this is the best book I've read in a while. Simply sat and read it over the course of a day. Thanks for the story! (Still waiting for nine kings to come out as a game)

About the author

Brent Weeks studied at Hillsdale College, before brief stints walking the earth like Caine from Kung Fu, also tending bar and corrupting the youth (not at the same time). He started writing on napkins and, eventually, someone paid him for it. Brent doesn't own cats or wear a ponytail.
