Jem and the Holograms #1

...but I'm glad I picked up issue #1. It's a feel-good comic, similar to a lot of IDW things, so it has barely any darkness in it. I recommend it for anyone trying to get hooked on a series that is an escape from Marvel and DC drama. The art seems pretty good as well because it's very colorful.

I've seen all the ORIGINAL Jem and the Holograms episodes and this hardly compares. It wouldn't hurt to at least make them look the way their supposed to, instead of making them look like these freakish dolls. Total insult to the original and best Jem and the Holograms.

But I can already tell it's way better than that insult of a live action film. Yeah, they look different, but the story is much truer to what we love about Jem. Will Rays make an appearance later?
