About this ebook

There’s something out there:
a juggernaut of evil bearing down to crush the Republic—
unless one lone Jedi, shunned and reviled, can stop it.

Revan: hero, traitor, conqueror, villain, savior. A Jedi who left Coruscant to defeat Mandalorians—and returned a disciple of the dark side, bent on destroying the Republic. The Jedi Council gave Revan his life back, but the price of redemption was high. His memories have been erased. All that’s left are nightmares—and deep, abiding fear.

What exactly happened beyond the Outer Rim? Revan can’t quite remember, yet can’t entirely forget. Somehow he stumbled across a terrible secret that threatens the very existence of the Republic. With no idea what it is, or how to stop it, Revan may very well fail, for he’s never faced a more powerful and diabolic enemy. But only death can stop him from trying.

Features a bonus section following the novel that includes a primer on the Star Wars expanded universe, and over half a dozen excerpts from some of the most popular Star Wars books of the last thirty years!

The whole story lead to a climax at the very end and then all of our protagonists are brutally stripped away. No one gets an ending. Very exciting, but it left me feeling empty inside. It was the ending for a horror story, not the redemptive tale we are set up for early on. Felt very forced due to the necessity to remain canonical with TOR MMO(also disappointing)

Mr. K is a brilliant man with a tremendous deal of talent, but this text by itself is a convincing argument for the apocryphal status of the Old Republic canon. The title character is mishandled due to meta-financial greed and a desperation to bring him to the SWTOR MMO timeline. You will not find your favorite characters here, and the few shadows of them are written incongruous to their established personalities. I'd say, pass.

This novel explores Revan's attempt at piecing together his fragmented mind and attempts to answer the question of why a hero of the Republic became a Sith Lord. Having played kotor and read the dark horse comic series. I felt that more could have been done especially at the end. The explanation seemed a bit to black and white with such a grey character. It was sorely lacking and felt tacked on. It was also rather depressing. Could have been a great 3 book series.
