About this ebook

Charlie Asher is a pretty normal guy with a normal life, married to a bright and pretty woman who actually loves him for his normalcy. They're even about to have their first child. Yes, Charlie's doing okay—until people start dropping dead around him, and everywhere he goes a dark presence whispers to him from under the streets. Charlie Asher, it seems, has been recruited for a new position: as Death.

It's a dirty job. But, hey! Somebody's gotta do it.

Owning several Christooner Moore books, I must say that this one is amongst my favorites. Don't expect a deep story with clever ironies and elaborate twists, but do expect to laugh your balls off on every page. This book is an absolute comedy gold mine, suitable for dumb teenagers and quantum physicists alike.

I'm sure I wouldn't have enjoyed reading it nearly as much - really good performance that helped convey the bizarro. Made me laugh, but it's situational humor, not wit. Purposefully over the top, silly, vulgar, impossible, but really kind of touching. I can only guess what's going on inside the author to produce something like this - he's fully committed to being out there.

Fist Christopher Moore book I've read. Audio version is HILARIOUS, love the voice actor. Writing is witty, funny, and true-to-life. Tells a very full story.
