I typically only give 5 stars to books that make both my heart and soul smile. This was not that book, hence the 4 rating. That being said, this book was practically perfect. I did not love this book, as it made me feel all of the pressure, the hope, the dispair, the shock of a parent who has a child in a troubling situation. I was helpless not to put myself and my child into the story, to ask "What if it happened to us?" And the ending... WOW. It made made me think and it made me feel, but my heart cried, so 4 stars it is.

This is my favorite book, no others are the same, it is so good. I would spend nights on end reading this story. Such an amazing job, I just love it so much. #1 book anywhere.

The first Picoult novel I ever read and still shocks me every time. It is a cryer. A story unlike any other I've read and her research in her work thoroughly shows. Love this book. You won't be able to put it down.
