Burton’s been moonlighting online, secretly working security in some game prototype, a virtual world that looks vaguely like London, but a lot weirder. He’s got Flynne taking over shifts, promised her the game’s not a shooter. Still, the crime she witnesses there is plenty bad.
Flynne and Wilf are about to meet one another. Her world will be altered utterly, irrevocably, and Wilf’s, for all its decadence and power, will learn that some of these third-world types from the past can be badass.

I loved the science fiction and ideas presented in this book. The Amazon TV show introduced me to the work. Reading it though, it felt as if I had missed the first book in the series and was supposed to know who all the characters were as they were not introduced. Characters who you had never met simply started speaking and maybe five chapters later a short description would let you know who or what this person was supposed to be. Overall it was poorly written.

It is appalling that William Gibson permits his publisher to enable DRM and thus bring a corporate dystopia to life. I thoroughly enjoyed the paperback. F you, Penguin. I was happy paying for a paperback and would have been happy paying for an ebook which can be read on the hardware and software of __MY__ choosing. Sadly, this is not available.

Loved this story. It was, in many ways, much better than I expected. I enjoyed the character developent and I hope Gibson writes a sequel!
