This book makes a good read and it will give you some good insight to what doctors have to out up with during their careers. It is well written but it lacks a conductive line and the stories are not written in chronological order; when you read it it gives the impression of a constant travel from present to past and then back to present, only to be jumping to the past once again. All in all, it feels more like a collection of notes made by the author in preparation to write a book. 99p it's a fair price.

This is a brilliant book to read in little gaps of time (waiting for an appointment, etc...) The chapters are short and easy to read, the tone is light, and the content remains of genuine interest. It might be a little disjointed for a lengthy stretch of reading, but perfect for picking up for a few minutes. It's not a ground-breaking book, but I'd highly recommend it for a bit of light reading.

An ideal read to kill time or while travelling, as the chapters are short and to the point. Almost every page has made me chuckle including my favourite chapter 'Jargon' because I have a personal interest in this. I believe in the story and the author as a genuine doctor because the book begins with his history and he repeatedly refers back to his junior years throughout the book. Although the initial reaction is shock and laughter, its also a brilliant insight into a world us 'normal' UK citizens fear.
