Liane Moriarty has a real knack for bringing characters to life, bit by bit, until you feel like you intimately know these people. The plot, and subplots are dished out to you an ounce at a time, teasingly, until all the ingredients are finally mixed and you get that 'aha' moment when everything comes together. I immediately selected this book to read after devouring The Husband's Secret. And of course, now I'm ready for another Liane Moriarty treat.

Starts out slow, lots of character development that is well worth getting through. The twist at the end really surprised me. I enjoyed the way the author wrote switching from present to past keeping the suspense going. I would recommend this read for sure.

I really enjoyed this backward murder mystery! It was a fun and entertaining read without being too preachy. A few nice surprises at the end of a book dotted with engaging characters who could be my neighbors. They lent a warm comfortable feel to the read.
