It's a handy guide (though to be honest, Android is easy enough that you probably don't really need it), but I was disappointed that upon purchasing my Nexus 10 online via Google Play UK, this guide was *not* added to my Google Play account automatically. Instead, I got three ancient free classic books added (Alice In Wonderland, The Three Musketeers and Treasure Island), which are surely less useful than this guide? Also note that when I bought a Nexus 7 (from Tesco Direct, not even Google Play!), as soon as I set it up, the Nexus 7 equivalent to this guide was added to my Google Play account. This is a great idea because it appears on their fullscreen widget and saves Google having to include a full printed manual. The good thing about this manual is that it can be read on the Web for free - this is important so that you don't have to launch some reading app on the Nexus 10 to get at it (chicken and egg - Nexus 10 might not be working properly to do so). Finally, will Google stop insisting on a positive Play credit balance or a credit/debit card for free downloads of books? This one prompted me for a "purchase" of 0.00 via Google Wallet - that step shouldn't even be presented!

Overall I found this manual to help with the basics especially when it comes to concepts related to Google Now and the voice searching or specifics related to the hardware. However, it was a little vague in certain spots, almost like it was a copy/paste job from other android devices that they wanted to word vaguely on purpose in order to make the manual easier to port across devices. Still, even though it's searchable I've found it's still faster to just hit the web and Google whatever it is I'm looking for related to the device.

This guide gives basic information that was written for Android 4.3, which applied when the device was released. A year later, some of the links are stale, and it would be nice to have an updated version for Android 4.4. Additionally, some of the sections are very basic and don't give sufficient detail. WiFi direct is under documented, for example.
