About this ebook

The best-selling autobiography of America’s most controversial celebrity icon, Marilyn Manson (with a bonus chapter not in the hardcover).

In his twenty-nine years, rock idol Manson has experienced more than most people have (or would want to) in a lifetime. Now, in his shocking and candid memoir, he takes readers from backstage to gaol cells, from recording studios to emergency rooms, from the pit of despair to the top of the charts, and recounts his metamorphosis from a frightened Christian schoolboy into the most feared and revered music superstar in the country. Illustrated with dozens of exclusive photographs and featuring a behind-the-scenes account of his headline-grabbing Dead to the World tour.

I used to be a huge fan years ago (I'm in my early 30's now), I still enjoy listening to some of my favorites. I've always found Brian Warner interesting, more so than Marilyn Manson, the stage persona. The book was an excellent mix of both. Honest writing, honest thoughts and everything you would expect from "the man that you fear". It was a good book I'd recommend. I don't share the same opinions and values he wrote of but it didn't take away from the enjoyment.

Really gives you a better insight of the man behind the media. The book is well written, as well as being hilarious, (actually laughed out loud a fair few times) creepy and somewhat scary in parts. Well worth the read, as a fan or not it helps you understand him more, and leaves you thinking. Favourite read of the year. I read this book along with listening to his music, and it really has helped me understand the music more. I've always been a fan, and now I feel more confident in saying that I am.

Few know the world of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Of that group, none has ever shocked the world like Marilyn Manson. This book gives you a front row seat to the chaos that is the life of Marilyn Manson. But more than that, we get to see the face of man who willingly takes on the title of America's scapegoat, the face of evil. A rare look at the life of the man behind the chaos, a chance to see through his eyes.
