About this ebook

Marriage should be based on love, right? But does it seem as though you and your spouse are speaking two different languages? #1 New York Times bestselling author Dr. Gary Chapman guides couples in identifying, understanding, and speaking their spouse's primary love language-quality time, words of affirmation, gifts, acts of service, or physical touch.

By learning the five love languages, you and your spouse will discover your unique love languages and learn practical steps in truly loving each other. Chapters are categorized by love language for easy reference, and each one ends with simple steps to express a specific language to your spouse and guide your marriage in the right direction. A newly designed love languages assessment will help you understand and strengthen your relationship. You can build a lasting, loving marriage together.

Gary Chapman hosts a nationally syndicated daily radio program called A Love Language Minute that can be heard on more than 150 radio stations as well as the weekly syndicated program Building Relationships with Gary Chapman, which can both be heard on fivelovelanguages.com. The Five Love Languages is a consistent New York Times bestseller - with over 5 million copies sold and translated into 38 languages.  This book is a sales phenomenon, with each year outselling the prior for 16 years running!

We received this book as a wedding gift from our officiant almost 2 years ago. This book truly helps direct couples to better communication. It allows you to express your love for your significant other in a way they will understand. My love language is quality time, and my husband's is acts of service. Knowing this has been a driving force for me to be better at cleaning and cooking; while he takes me out on dates and asks about my day. We still have trouble remembering that we both don't have the same love language, but we come back to realizing how to say "I LOVE YOU" through each others language.

A very transmogrifying book. I am not the type to even write reviews of books but I must in regard to this book. My soon to be wife (40 days out from our wedding) and I took a premarital class to better prepare for marriage. We aren't your traditional soon to be marrieds as we've been living together for 6 years, we have a son michael 7 (whom is not my biological but i love him as my own). We have been through every up and down a relationship can. We love each other hard but geniunely only can get through to the other periodically. This book helped us better to show the other the love that we really do have for each other. It helps you get the most bang for the buck for the things you do for the other helping hone in on what methods of love they get the most out of. Thank you Gary Chapman. Awesome book! 5 stars

I knew that it was always true, about the "infatuation" stage or "obsessive" stage or the "honey moon" in relationships. I'm glad I read this book, it has really improved my relationship. And it has really made me realize how special not only my boyfriend is in my life but also everyone else that I love in my family. Best book to buy.
