"The Reason For God"'s treatment of today's cultural beliefs and assumptions is as masterfully done as it is long overdue.
It's an outstanding resource for presenting the Gospel to people whose world view is enslaved to this kind of misunderstanding.
Aside from dealing with intellectual questions, the book's presentation of the gospel has the power to touch hearts.
Using frank language, it communicates Biblical judgement, forgiveness, and restoration with poetic beauty.

I was wondering why this book was rated lower than his other books. But, with this being Mr. Keller's apologetic best seller, it was sure to get some crossfire from the skeptical readers.

"The Reason for God" contains well thought-out and well reasoned arguments for the existence of a Christian God and defences of the critiques of athiests and agnostics.
About the author
Timothy Keller was born and raised in Pennsylvania and educated at Bucknell University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. His first pastorate was in Hopewell, Virginia. In 1989 he started Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City with his wife, Kathy, and their three sons. Today, Redeemer has nearly six thousand regular Sunday attendees and has helped to start more than three hundred new churches around the world. He is the author of The Songs of Jesus, Prayer, Encounters with Jesus, Walking with God Through Pain and Suffering, Every Good Endeavor, and The Meaning of Marriage, among others, including the perennial bestsellers The Reason for God and The Prodigal God.
