It is rare that one can improve what is already a superb book, but Jamshid Gharajedaghi has managed to just do that in the third edition. I got it last night through Fed.Ex and got to review it right away. The preface is touching, more so with passing of Dr. Ackoff. The additional chapters in design capture the current rage and popularity of the concept and offers fundamental and sound principles for dealing the current "MESS" facing our social systems (our country and the global economy.) Written by one of the most brilliant minds and systems thinker of our time, the book, while difficult to comprehend, and requires many re-read to capture its essence, is only one manifestation of years of systems practice and experience of the author. In the age of fad and annual business best sellers, the book is a refreshing insight for dealing with complex business and social problem and dissolving them for a more desirable future
