This might be entertaining to some, but if you want REAL advice about dogs there are many more knowledgeable people: Jean Donaldson, Karen Pryor, Kathy Sdao, Patricia McConnell to name a few. The era of force dog training is waning, and this guy, sadly, resurrected it, but the trajectory toward progressive reinforcement training becoming the norm will, hopefully, resume at some point, and Cesar, the Monks and others will go the way of Koehler - in to the history books and out of our dogs' lives.

He abuses the dogs he say he is training. Don't buy his book ans support this terrible man. He supports Michael Vick.

This is an excellent book that helps you realize how important it is for you and your puppy to learn to not only understand who's the pack leader, but how to read your dog's signals. Great examples of how to raise a well balanced dog and wonderful stories and testimonials too! A must read!
