i agree strongly that the principles and values of what makes america. are being over washed by greed anf lust, on the surfice but it also holds a unified front, our concern's lay with the agenda of the curriculium which the future generation will assume to follow- america is still being torn by racisim and prejudicism- though we are on a united front our philisophical interest is deliberitly being stagnent by those whom assume that theirs is more valid.

About the author
Allan Bloom was Professor in the Committee on Social Thought and the College and co-director of the John M. Olin Center for Inquiry into the Theory and Practice of Democracy at the University of Chicago. He taught at Yale, University of Paris, University of Toronto, Tel Aviv University, and Cornell, where he was the recipient of the Clark Teaching Award in 1967. He died in 1992.
