About this ebook

In April 2009, a modest middle-aged woman from a village in Scotland was catapulted to global fame when the YouTube video of her audition for Britain’s Got Talent touched the hearts of millions all over the world. From singing karaoke in local pubs to a live performance with an eighty-piece orchestra in Japan’s legendary Budokan Arena and a record-breaking debut album, Susan Boyle has become an international superstar. This astonishing transformation has not always been easy for her, faced with all the trappings of celebrity, but in the whirlwind of attention and expectation, she has always found calm and clarity in music. Susan was born to sing. Now, for the first time, she tells the story of her life and the challenges she has struggled to overcome with faith, fortitude, and an unfailing sense of humor.

"MUST READ" Susan's book should be a "must' read book in every school in the world. Susan's trials and tribulations throughout her life to prove herself a worthy person, against all odds, is talked about so frankly in her book. The book shows the reader how Susan's determination, endurance and courage carried her to where she is today. You will find many laughs along the way, lots of smiles and many sorrows to think about. This book is well done. I enjoyed it immensely! This is one book you will love. Enjoy!

+JMJ A serious, heartwarming and thoroughly honest read of an ordinary woman who is not so. She is blessed with wisdom, principled, strong, loving, forgiving and above all, a faith-filled woman that knows joy and is not afraid to show her witty and humorous self. For me she is "the real thing"! With certainty she knows who she is and is surrounded by some remarkable people who genuinely care for her. An absolutely terrific book and in addition will help many persons, globally. God bless her! Peace.

This is a must read. Filled with both pathos and humor, it will have you weeping one minute and laughing out loud the next. Susan Boyle is a woman of incredible courage and determination and above all an unshakable faith. For anyone who has ever been considered "different", who works or lives with challenged adults or children, for people of all faiths, and for anyone who simply enjoys an amazing story well told, I highly recommend "The Woman I Was Born to Be".
