Uell Stanley Andersen was an American self-help and short story author. He is most known for his book Three Magic Words (1954), which has been linked to the law of attraction. Born of Norwegian parents, Andersen was once a professional football player and, during World War II, served as a naval officer. Subsequently, he had a number of careers, including running an advertising agency, wildcatting for oil, logging at the Columbia Sawmill, and acting as a gunnery officer on a destroyer escort.
