At first, this book was quite dull. Almost painfully boring. I mean... the negativity of a young orphan isn't exactly what you'd call amusing(in contrast to L. M. Montgomery's Anne, in Anne of Green Gables, who bursts with life, Jane is quite bleak). But then, as the story progresses, the main character, Jane matures a lot and she goes on to talk about the exquisite and almost fascinating dear Mr Rochester who is quite becoming attractive in her eyes in all his cruel behaviour. Jane develops a fierce but beautiful mind and personality that i find interesting. Their conversations are quite intellectual which, finally, catches my attention. Usually i easily get bored with long conversations but theirs made the book hard to put down. I just love the fact that they are each other's perfect match in terms of strong character.
