About this ebook

The perfect gift for fans of HBO's Game of Thrones—a boxed set featuring the first four novels!

George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series has become, in many ways, the gold standard for modern epic fantasy. Martin—dubbed the "American Tolkien" by Time magazine—has created a world that is as rich and vital as any piece of historical fiction, set in an age of knights and chivalry and filled with a plethora of fascinating, multidimensional characters that you love, hate to love, or love to hate as they struggle for control of a divided kingdom.

This bundle includes the following novels:
A GAME OF THRONES
A CLASH OF KINGS
A STORM OF SWORDS
A FEAST FOR CROWS

I enjoyed this little bundle a lot (although George R. R. Martin is probably one of the biggest trolls in the history of literature) but I was disappointed in the "packaging". All 4 books are regarded as 1 in the Android, iOS and browser view so you never know exactly where you are in the actual book you are reading at the time (something I like to check when I start and stop reading, a personal thing admittedly). The icon representing the book set in the apps is this picture of the spines of all 4 novels side by side which is a side effect of not getting all 4 eBooks separately and really looks out of place on my virtual bookshelf since all the other novels proudly display their covers (especially with book 5). The novels themselves are an infuriating delight to read. The author has an amazing gift for personification and creating a solid link between the characters and the reader but he also revels in getting rid of said characters. This challenges literary conventions (a good thing), surprises the reader on a regular basis (another good thing) but also renders hours of reading useless when entire plot lines are suddenly (and violently) dropped. Recommended.

Long , confusing( many characters with more than one name) , cliff hanger everyone dies( well not everone......yet). However I couldn't put it down for hoping to come to some good, any good thing, but alas death and destruction with no end in sight.left me sad ,frustrated and angry.ill probably read the next as I'm still a hopeless optimistic

This ebook contains the 1st 4 volumes in the series. It comes as one long book of 3000+ pages. This somehow got screwed up tho and now only shows as 722 pages. You can manually flip past pg 722, but it won't save your place past that, and any attempt to navigate farther just brings you to page 722. That is not even the end of the first book. Emailed about it, haven't heard back.
