About this ebook

The second book in Marie Lu’s New York Times bestselling LEGEND trilogy—perfect for fans of THE HUNGER GAMES and DIVERGENT!

June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: the Elector Primo dies, and his son Anden takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request—June and Day must assassinate the new Elector.

It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.

But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?

In this highly-anticipated sequel to the New York Times bestseller Legend, Lu delivers a breathtaking thriller with high stakes and cinematic action.

The first book in this series is very action packed, full of mystery and intrigue with a dramatic finish. Book two reads like mediocre fan fiction with romances rushed and plot barely focused on. *****SPOILERS***** Day has barely known June a month, with most of that time being at odds with each other, and he is already telling her 'I love you'. They're running for their lives in a large city where they could be spotted by anyone at anytime and all they can think about is how hot the other one is. I feel like the author was so excited about the romance that she rushed through plot to get to the I'll timed makeout scenes. I got through 4 chapters of "Prodigy" before returning the rest of the series. Its pretty disappointing.

Most sequels are hard pressed to match the quality of the first, but this one kept me on my toes and I would have read it in two days flat if I'd had enough time to. I went on to read the third one online because I couldn't wait to just get it from the library the next day.

I don't even have the digital version but I do have the actual book and I will say I'm addicted. I read the first book and it was amazing. I'm in the middle of reading this one and in loving it so far. Marie Lu does an amazing job at describing characters that in the graphic novel it exactly what I expected. Marie My is one of my favorite authors right now and I can't wait to read "Champion".
