About this ebook

Charles Stross's "Equoid" is a dark fantasy tale from the Hugo-winning author of Rule 34, Halting State, The Atrocity Archives, and many others.

The "Laundry" is Britain's super-secret agency devoted to protecting the realm from the supernatural horrors that menace it. Now Bob Howard, Laundry agent, must travel to the quiet English countryside to deal with an outbreak of one of the worst horrors imaginable. For, as it turns out, unicorns are real. They're also ravenous killers from beyond spacetime...

Stross is in fine form as Bob Howard fights another extra - dimensional incursion by beasties hiding in horror stories and higher mathematics. His weapons as always are his quick wits, his beaurocratic smarts and a highly customized Palm Treo. PLUS we get another look at the sharp point of the Territorial SAS spear. Hooray for Allan and Scary Spice!

The lovecraftian truth about unicorns and their affinity to little girls. It's the story of an occult Government agent called in to look into unicorn sightings. Things get nasty quick and the police are possessed...
