Being invisible is still one of the best superpowers after flying, super strength, and precognicence. Unless you're evil. Then most powers are more trouble than they're worth.

I usually no a fan of H. G. Wells, but this is a good book. It's has all the hallmarks of a good sci fi novel, engaging charcters, a good plot, and enough scicence refereces to make it seem plausible. This book is a good read if you can get past the antiquanited language and outdated science references, this is a real gem of a book.

I found that reading this a little difficult at first due to language's collocial writting. There were words used that i had no inclination what they meant. that did not make much difference reading,on through. I have decided that avoiding these books i have missed out of excellent writtings and now will pursue reading more of the classics.

About the author

A key figure in the development of science-fiction literature, Herbert George Wells was a prolific British writer. After a stint as a schoolteacher, Wells crafted a series of inventive novels during the 1890s, including The Time Machine and The Invisible Man, depicting technological advancements and their dramatic ramifications. Shortly after his dark, dystopian 1898 novel, The War of the Worlds, Wells shifted to less fantastical fare, but his sci-fi tales represent his ongoing legacy.
