It is Mana! Of course it's wonderful, breathtaking and fun at the same time. A wonderful mind blowing comic book with a story that plays with a thin line of absurdity and humor. The "K" series which we had the chance to first encounter years ago, was a new "thing" in Persian cartoon and comic world. We never had anything like that, per se. Or at least I have never seen anything like that back then and still I don't see a slighty similar one.

I just finished reading this very intriguing satirical comics narrative. I enjoyed it very much, and highly recommend it to others. Along with few other Iranian artists, Mana Neyestani is forging new ground in Iranian art and literature. We know well that unlike in the West, comics and graphic narratives do not play a significant role in the lives of Iranians. Despite this, Neyestani is doing an admirable job with the medium and its distinctive capacities. He had already created a few comics narratives when he was in Iran, and more recently his graphic memoir Une métamorphose iranienne came out in French (it is to be published in English, too). Neyestani is finding his own style in comics, and I am sure we should be expecting more and more wonderful works by him.
