About this ebook

A NEW YORK TIMES Bestseller!

As a part of the monumental DC Comics--The New 52 event, comics superstars Geoff Johns and Jim Lee bring you an all-new origin story for the Justice League!

In a world where inexperienced superheroes operate under a cloud of suspicion from the public, loner vigilante Batman has stumbled upon a dark evil that threatens to destroy the earth as we know it. Now, faced with a threat far beyond anything he can handle on his own, the Dark Knight must trust an alien, a Scarlet Speedster, an accidental teenage hero, a space cop, an Amazon Princess and an undersea monarch. Will Superman, the Flash, Cyborg, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Aquaman be able to put aside their differences and come together to save the world? Or will they destroy each other first?

In one of the most game-changing titles in comics industry history, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee re-imagine the classic heroes of the DC Universe for the 21st century. This volume collects issues #1-6 of JUSTICE LEAGUE, part of the DC Comics--The New 52 event.

Although the artwork is amazing and there are some good moments, the majority of this story is garbage. The plot is paper thin, most of the characters are one dimensional, Cyborg is very much shoehorned into this and batman for no justifiable reason at all shows his identity to a loudmouth Green Lantern. The worst part is this version of Darkseid is not at all interesting or the cold, calculating, sinister individual that he is in the comics or justice league cartoons, he is portrayed as a brute and weak

A little annoying that I have to go through the Play Store to read a book that I purchased. Does not show up in Play Books “My Library". Cannot pin to my phone or tablet and NYC subway system isn't exactly data friendly. Would love to give this a better rating but just cannot right now.

This is my first comic that I have ever read. Read this after watching the justice league movie that came out. This was a great starter comic and will probably continue reading the next volume.
