I subscribed temporarily for some election coverage. Was surprised at the operation of the app. When you search the app, the search results are miniature physical newspaper pages, in 2023, I kid you not. You still have to go the web site for most articles, even if you are signed in with a paid subscription. I rate this app 1 🌟 or 5💩, take your pick. Better to read the "paper" or the web browser version.

Before the new layout, the app worked well and gave me everything I needed. Now, the app takes anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute to even load. I get push notifications for breaking news, but the app just loads to the main page and the article is nowhere to be found. Old version worked way better. They needed to test this new one more before releasing it.

I like the new app overall but app seems to download the e-edition to internal memory. When the memory on the device fills up, the app stops loading, have to delete app and download again periodically. There needs to be an option to use a device's SD card and also to clear the memory of prior issues. Was taking up 900 MB of memory on phone, causing other apps to slow down as well.

Thank you for your feedback, we will share this with our team.

What's new

• eEdition page browser navigation: Fixes a bug some users encountered where if you tapped a thumbnail in the eEdition page browser, the app would load a blank screen.
• Minor stability improvements.
