About this app

This is the companion app for the new Design Studio Press book: How to Draw.

Enhancing the learning experience, this app has been created to allow readers to use trigger images on pages to link directly to online tutorials via their tablets and phones. Using advanced video techniques, this app connects the printed matter to online digital educational content as never before, and insures that the book remains as current as the rapidly advancing techniques presented in How to Draw. Over 10 hours of video content have been created to accompany the book.

A physical copy of How to Draw is required to get the most out of the h2Dr app. Additionally, an internet connection is required to view the video content.

You can get your copy of the How to Draw book by visiting:

Wonderful app, (thanks Scott and Thomas). It works every time. I still go to the URL with the full lesson links that I can see all at once without this app. This is because I usually am in my studio with my mac mini's very large screen. Thanks for the easy to remember username and password. But that said, this app works on my Android and especially nice on my iPad pro's bigger screen, with just a camera scan to activate. I also recommend the related How to Render app h2Re. I love them both.

I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed. This has interrupted my learning flow because now i find myself spending half an hour trying to get the camera to focus instead of progressing through the H2D book, this clearly doesn't work so just provide links!

Hello Nicholas. It's disappointing that you're not having any luck with the app. If you look on page 206, there's a link to a site containing brushes, assets, and links to every video in the book. We hope to update the app in the future. With Android apps, it's always a moving target, and Sony phones have been notoriously poor devices for AR.

Is not working every time. Some of the pages are not recognized. I don't find the close button or this not exist. I can't go back. I'm surprised to see that after so much time is this app not fixed. I use a Samsung Galaxy S6.
