It's kind of a joke that Alipay pretends to serve international customers. As soon as you download the app, you get a terms and conditions screen in Chinese with no option for other languages. In the app itself, even the text that is translated to English is often incomprehensible, or the heading will be translated and then the rest is in Chinese. Outside of China, you can't use Alipay at all unless you're a Chinese citizen. Updating your ID is a huge pain.

Despite negative reviews, this app has been a lifesaver for me. The translated pop-ups in Chinese are helpful, and its user-friendly interface made it easy to navigate. A tutorial video for real-life situations, such as market or store use, would benefit new users. Personally, it saved me money on taxis and protected me from scams, eliminating the need for cash & card. Would recommend for everyone even if you don't have a chinese card works with european cards.

One of my favorite apps in the world. Not kidding, it's one ap that has it all. If you're a in China you can basically order things online/car-rides/food/public transport/maps. It take a while to authenticate and add cards but once you that it's easy peasy. Anyway a good alternative to wechat/wepay. If one stops or if your bank blocks one card you can access the other. It's a lifesaver in China.
