Thank you for raising the issue regarding the ESB Ecars mobile app, Ecar Connect. In relation to the distance to chargers being expressed in miles instead of km, to fix this, you can either change the language setting on your device from ‘English (UK)’ to ‘English (Ireland)’, or change the ‘distance unit’ to ‘kilometres’ in your navigation app (Google Maps for example).

It does exactly what you need it to do. Tells you where chargers are, if they're being used, if they're in use then when the person started using it, you can connect and pay through the app and can even connect with Google maps to bring you to the nearest charger and if you've got any problems theres a char function and a number to call. The only thing I'd change are a few tweaks in the UI but otherwise it does exactly what it's meant to and does it reliably.

New UI is fundamentally flawed. The old version brought you to your location by default and you could very quickly find a nearby charger. The new version has no current location function (that I can see!) which means you have to go digging through the embedded google map manually to roughly locate where you are. This is a fundamental usability flaw and bad oversight. Can you fix for the next release OR better still go back to much much better previous version.
