I really enjoy being able to cast my phone to the truck's dashboard screen using Android Auto. This enables me to use my phone apps to navigate, listen to a podcast started at home and finished while driving, and voice text. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because it sometimes displays the error message "disconnected" at the worst times like navigating in a big city. It reconnects in less than 5 minutes, but it's a bit frustrating. Android Auto, I use it every time I drive.

My wife turns on the car, my phone connects and blasts whatever music I listened to last. There's no way to NOT automatically connect, and there's no option to NOT auto play music. These are the simplest, most obvious low hanging fruit features that could be implemented. Google's had these requests for many years. But they've chosen to do nothing. That's why AA will never be good.

Android Auto is great but there's a "feature" where if you have a music app selected and you turn up the volume it would auto play music.... This is fine and all... Up until you're listening to something else outside your music. For example, you're playing a YouTube video and turn up to hear a bit better, now your blasted by the last song you were listening to. The only solution is to unselect any music app.. but now the problem is you lose the ability to control music. Le sigh. Adjust please.
