About this app

You can use the Vy app to quickly find departures for journeys by train, bus, metro, tram and boat across Norway. You can buy tickets from Vy and other transport companies such as Go-Ahead, SJ, Ruter, Kolumbus, Skyss and Brakar. It should always be easy to make the eco-friendly choice when travelling, so the Vy app also lets you:

· See relevant suggested itineraries in the journey planner – including how long it takes to walk or bike
· Get real-time information on all departures
· Receive push notifications about delays and cancellations affecting your journey
· View your tickets and present your ticket for inspection
· Check how full each carriage on your train is
· Save your favourite routes and places that you frequently visit
· Book taxis across much of the country
· Listen to audiobooks and podcasts, and read newspapers and magazines

Thank you for travelling by public transport. Every journey counts!

The app crashed on my phone and had to reinstall. I had to transfer my ticket to the same device i reinstalled the app on. I understand why my period ticket is locked to a device however the app informed me that I could only transfer it up to 2 more times. No other ticket apps in Norway give this limitation, there is no reason this should be the case with VY. They are supposed to provide a service that is paid for. I rely on the trains for my commute. I expect stability from the trains.

Since the last update, it requires to have bank I'd to buy a ticket and before was working fine. Let me correct you, banks said they didnt have anything to do with that it's your application that requires. Some banks even if you are EU member they give Bank I'd after 6 months. meanwhile as i said the app was working good, but one day stopped and cant buy anymore without Bank I'd. Only way is paying cash in the busses which the ticket is double price! You are such a scammers...

Hi, you don't need BankID to use the app. But for web sales in Norway, you need to verify yourself, which isn't something we decide, but the banks.

It's still better, more reliable to book tickets at website, vy.no than use the app. Especially when it comes to seat reservation. I have several times send error reports but nothing happens.

What's new

Several users have experienced that the app crashes when they try to activate new notifications. We have done our best to fix this now and hope it does the trick.
