Access your policy details on the move with the General Accident My account app.

This handy app ensures that you can always view important policy documentation such as your car insurance certificate and breakdown cover details and make changes, should you need them.

For customers who have just bought a new General Accident car policy it’s an easy way to upload your proof of no claims discount.

And there’s more:
- View and amend information for your car policies
- Take a photo of your proof of no claims discount and upload it to General Accident
- No need to print your policy documents as you’ll be able to access them through your phone
- Change your My account settings including your password
- Get answers to your most frequently asked questions.

Good on the face of it, ready to log in... and show your latest car policy. However... you cannot see your previous (or current) vehicle - only the one you're going to change to in 2 week's time. So no way to prove you're insured for the vehicle you are currently driving. Exacerbated by the fact that "view" in the documents doesn't work. So you have to web browser then instead. Which makes the app a little pointless.

Terrible so far. Great for looking at your docs and policies at leisure, but if you want to make changes then it just doesn't work. Trying to change a car details it just locks up repeatedly so unable to action via the app. Account locked up once before and had to get the help desk to repair it, which took days. As you only ever use the app when you need access in a hurry, it is a very frustrating to use!

This app is really bad. I cannot get into my policies at all. I uninstalled then reinstalled and now can't even log in. Comes up with "error" in a strange msg. I can't access the normal website either - what is going on ??! I only wanted the phone number for the breakdown service so I could save it in my phone. I just hope I never do breakdown. Really disgraceful.- get it sorted general accident . You're an online only insurance company after all.

What's new

This is a major update of our app that significantly improves the user experience bringing all features of My Account into the app.

Now you can not only view information about your policies and access policy documents, and also make changes like cover level upgrades or change of vehicle.

Customers with policies that are up for renewal will be able to review and change, if required, their renewal quote.

*This build fixes previous version where some users saw a crash on launch.
