About this app

Castro is a huge collection of information about your device and a set of tools for monitoring its status. This allows you to check the performance of your device in real-time!

Large collection of the information
Castro processes and displays a huge amount of information, namely:

• Detailed processor statistics (CPU and GPU);
• Battery monitoring;
• Consumption of all kinds of memory;
• Data usage via Wi-Fi and mobile networks;
• Real-time sensors data with useful graphs;
• Detailed information about device's cameras;
• Full list of available audio and video codecs;
• Monitoring temperatures of the device;
• And many other features, including DRM and Bluetooth!

The most important thing in the "Dashboard"
If you are not interested in too detailed information in a larger volume, you can always use the "Dashboard" window, which collects all the most important information - CPU usage, battery status, network usage, and memory load on the device.

More control with useful tools
• Share your device information using "Data export";
• Test your display state via "Screen tester";
• Check the noise around you with "Noise checker".

Even more features with "Premium"
• Deep interface customization with various colors and themes;
• Configurable home-screen widget, with information about battery, memory, and more;
• Network traffic speed monitor to track your connection speed;
• CPU usage monitor to keep abreast of frequency usage;

Useful info but I'm unable to find the options mentioned in the 3rd play store image. Especially disappointing to find the advertised "broken pixel options"missing. Although Castro is interesting & provides tons of technical info on my Note 8, my storage space is limited, Castro (9.65MB total) can't be moved to an external SD, & now the update requires 529MB, so I am uninstalling for now. I would recommend at least trying it to see if it's for you; it does do most of what it claims to.

Hello Sabrina, there is a tool inside app called "Screen tester" it allow you to check if you have any broken pixels on your screen. It enabled fully dark screen, so you just have to check if everything is fine with the screen.

Pros: gives a great demo of your CPU's thermal throttling feature! Most of the information the app provides is correctish... Keeps your CPU around 80°C for about 15 minutes before crashing. Cons: gives a great demo of your CPU's thermal throttling feature xD Maxes out CPU when viewing CPU real time data. Need a second HW monitor app to monitor this HW monitor app because the real time data freezes after a few seconds. Much of the info is incomplete or incorrect. (Tested on Note 4 and S7)

Excellent app for system information, sensors, diagnostics and troubleshooting. It tells you about all the hardware on your phone with full and detailed specs. The UI is very nice, simple yet elegant. Just one tiny issue. The name of the app tells you nothing. If you forget the name, you'll have to look through your entire list. I think it should be renamed Castro HW Info or at least Castro HW. Other than that, brilliant app!

Hi Siddharth, thank you for your feedback. Originally I decided to step away of generic names for my apps (like "hardware monitor", etc.).

What's new

Castro 4.6 is here and it comes with full Android 14 support (and new information coming with it), reference data in the "Noise checker", in-app language picker, better multi-camera detection, and much more!
