Unfortunately, this app does not appear to work on my Pixel 3. I set it to block any call that wasn't in my contacts, but regardless of whether it was told to "hang up" or "mute" the call and regardless of whether the undesired call was just digits or came through with some kind of call ID, the calls all still came through. I've heard there might be problems with call blocking on pixel devices, so maybe if you've got a pixel, this just won't work for you. Editing to reply to dev: Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately that doesn't change the behavior. I think what you're suggesting (on the Pixel3) is to go to Battery Optimization -> All Apps and make sure Call Blocker is "not optimized". That should let it continue running even "in the background". Calls still come through that aren't in my contacts. Similarly, even if I have the call blocker up (active) while awaiting a call that isn't in my contacts, it still comes through. I haven't found a whitelisting call blocker that works on Pixel devices yet, but I do appreciate the response!

This app started working better and at least blocking calls not in my contacts. Unfortunately, I bought a new phone (same brand) and now it doesn't work at all. Calls just come right through. Very disappointing. Will probably uninstall unless it starts working. Back to the drawing board. Most of these don't work well. I'd gladly pay for a really good one. But the reviews on most aren't any better. Just sad this seems worthless with my new phone even after uninstalling it and installing it again.

Was a good stock app for blocking calls for a while there. Then an update came that made it more invasive and forced your phone to use its interface whenever anyone called. Kind of annoying, but I rolled with it. I had a lot of spam callers blocked anyway. Most recently I got an update where this interface throws a big screen hogging ad your way after every single call and that was the final straw. Some of the ads are a pain to close because as I said they take up the whole screen and you get a tiny x to close it out. One mistouch and hellooo virus! Uninstalled.
