Unusable. It makes your board questionably usable. This app pushes board firmware updates 1) even while you are riding, 2) even when you don't want them, and 3) then repeatedly fails. There is no way to bypass this. This software effectively can make your purchase worth very little. I like the onewheel, but the hardware is only as reliable as the software.

For a non-Vesc, factory app/controller, this is good. My one suggestion for Future Motion, hence the 4-star rating instead of 5, is to add a lifetime mileage, across all boards you've ever linked to the app, in your profile settings. Other than that, I love the custom shaping features and the user-friendliness of the app, including the information pop-ups that explain some of the custom shaping settings.

I have been using this app since 2017. It has been excellent. Recently, due to Future Motion's CPSC fiasco, I am unable to use this app anymore with my older generation onewheels, thanks to a forced update pop up that blocks the user from accessing the app. It would be nice to have an option to update later and continue to use the app. I cannot update in the middle of a trail system with no cell reception, and I cannot check my battery status because I'm locked out of the app. 🤬
