Getting started

You’ll need some data to download the app for the first time, but data charges no longer apply when using the SA app itself. If you have a connection, you can do your banking!

Transactional features are available to Standard Bank accounts held in South Africa, Ghana, Uganda, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Lesotho, Malawi, eSwatini and Namibia. Keep in mind that some types of payments include transaction fees.

Tried this app on 3 different devices and it hasn't worked, yep that's over 3 years. The app usually crashes and is basically useless, it doesn't do what it's supposed to do. What's annoying is that it's supposed to save time but you eventually have to give up and go to the branch, where you might wait another hour and a half (unplanned for) just to be assisted

I am truly disappointed in SB... It has been 5 months since the disastrous update and my first review in November 2023. No amount of emails, reviews, or phone calls have helped. They just send you around in circles. The lotto option still doesn't work after numerous updates that were supposed to 'fix' the issues. And now the app has more bugs than ever before. Sometimes, it won't even allow you to buy airtime and kicks you out for no reason. FnB has no such issues. Time to move over permanently.

Lots of technical difficulties since the upgrade. Even the option for buying lotto is not available. Even after contacting support, there is no solution. Still no solution or a return call. Please don't keep giving me the same response. Alll my settings are correct. These are issues experience my many on this platform. Terrible service. Still not sorted after contacting you on numerous times.
