About this app

SlimCD for Android enables credit/debit card authorizations for keyed or swiped (card present) retail environments. Both keyed and swiped authorizations are conducted over a secure 3G or WIFI connection.

For swiped transactions, the IDTECH Unimag II Mobile MagStripe Reader is used; connected using the Android headset port. When using the Unimag II swipe reader, secure authorizations are conducted with minimal keying. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE UNIMAG II MUST BE INJECTED WITH SECURE POSX ENCRYPTION KEY.
For keyed transactions, the cardholder number, expiration date, CVV2 code and amount is entered. Keyed transactions are generally conducted when the card is non-present.
Both keyed and swiped transactions use the SlimCD payment gateway for authorization. All transactions are conducted using either a 3G or WIFI connection using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) communications.
Prior transactions can also be searched using a comprehensive historical search capability; useful for issuing voids and credits for previously entered transactions as well as for repeating transactions for a given cardholder.
Daily and batch totals can also be reviewed by an administrator. Full online reporting is also available at any time.
Signature capture now fully supported, including the option for a customer to add a tip at time of signing. Receipt can be e-mailed, texted, or printed on a Bluetooth printer. Signatures are stored and can be printed later in case of a retrieval.
For printing, we support the following Star Bluetooth printers:
[SM-S220i PPID] 121976-0002
[SM-T300i PPID] 121976-0004

Now supports configuration that may allow unsupported phones to accept swiped transactions. Use the options menu to enable auto-config on unsupported devices, which may allow them to use the card reader.

SlimCD can now be launched from other apps.

Upgraded my phone from jelly bean to KitKat and now the reader will not get connected. Times out every time. I get the notification of "music being to loud" popup. Reader works fine in iOS phones.
